CBD & NABERS
Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) is a national program design to improve the energy efficiency of Australia's large office buildings.
From November 1st, 2010, most sellers or lessors of office space of 2,000mē or more will be required to disclose the NABERS Energy rating of their building.
From November 1st, 2011, the requirements will be extended to include a tenancy lighting assessment and general energy efficiency guidance.
Who will need to get a rating?
- Building owners who are leasing tenancies with a NLA of over 2,000mē
- Building owners who are selling buildings with a NLA of over 2,000mē (regardless of the size of individual tenancies)
- Tenants who are subleasing part of their tenancy with a NLA of over 2,000mē
